I can’t help it. I long for the days of Ronald Reagan as president of the United States! I know he wasn’t perfect, no man is. But he was a president that understood the “why” of things. To him, it wasn’t’ about deficits and dictators, it was about a city on a shining hill. It was about a new day is dawning in America. It was about, “you Iranians let our hostages go or deal with me after I’m sworn in. And let them go, they did! I’ll never forget in 1980, seeing the split screens on the TV. On one side is President Reagan being sworn in, hand on the BIble and so help me God-ing his way into American history; and on the other screen, a plan, loaded with the American hostages in Iran, rotating off the runway heading home as fast as it could fly! Oh that once again God would allow leaders with that courage and resolve to rise to the top!
Oh, for the Reagan days again…….
